A calcium-rich hot breakfast cereal with the naturally sweet cornmeal flavor that most children love. Great topped with Sweet Raisin Sauce.
1/2 cup whole grain yellow cornmeal
2 cups water
2/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 cup whole milk yogurt
1/4 cup wheat germ
3/4 cup cottage cheese
2/3 cup raisins

Mix 1/2 cup of the water with the raisins and put in a blender jar.
Blend on medium until the raisins are completely chopped. In a mixing bow1, combine the water and raisin mixture with the cornmeal.
Mix until smooth. Put the remaining 11/2 cups of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the cornmeal mixture to the boiling water and stir until the mixture comes to a boil again. Reduce the heat to low and simmer 6 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the dry milk, yogurt, and wheat germ, and stir until hot. Stir in the cottage cheese. Cool slightly before serving in a small bow1.
